Ultimate warrior - Chapter7 
The Returning
It was going to take a month for them to get to Kugaban. Over that time john was attempting to find a jutsu that would allow john to temporally allow fang to grow to his adult size and have all his adult abilities. When he asked Yami if there was such a jutsu, Yami replied, “none that I know of.” The girls gave him the same reply.
“So I’m going to either wait for him to naturally grow or come up with the jutsu myself.” John thought to himself. As the month went by john thought about it he didn’t want to try every thing he came up with so he didn’t. By the time they did arrive at Kugaban he had a theory that may work. He would have tested it however, right when decided it was worth it they were at Kugaban’s main gate.
“ My name is Kazo, I have succeeded in bringing the help we asked for from Kohona.” Kazo shouted to whom john knew was the gate guard. With in moments the gate opened.
“Everything looks the same.” John noticed. The village was in the same basic lay out of Kohona. The housing and farms were on the out side, the market on the inner side, and the house were the village leader lived was in the very center.
Their first stop was the village leaders house. It was a beautiful house. It was two stories tall. It had a garden that made sally’s look like a bunch of dead grass. The inside was even more spectacular. There were portraits of the past leaders hanging on the wall.
“This place is huge.” Sakura said as they walked to the main room.
“Of course. Ganto, the leader of this village, is the Hong’s left hand man. The Hong tries to suck every penny he can get out of the people of this village. We try to survive wile he gets richer and richer.” John explained.
“This guy is that bad?” Sakura asked. By then the door opened to the main room, were Ganto was sitting. He was wearing what looked like an outfit made for a king. The only thing missing was his crown.
“Welcome. I am Ganto, leader of Kugaban. And welcome to my graceful home.” The man said
It was at that moment everyone except John bowed down to the man in respect. All john did was have his eyes turn to there battle mood and stare coldly at the man.
“Mister Ganto. When you sent the message you stated it was a matter of importance.” Yami pointed out.
“Yes. For some time now this poor little village has been under attack of several thefts. I want the people responsible captured.” Ganto explained
“The only reason he’s said any thing was because if he didn’t he the people would leave, and he’d have to live with the large sum of money he already has.” John thought to himself
“We’ll get them sir.” And with that everyone except john bowed down to the man.
“He seemed nice.” Kuran said when they had left the building.
“He’s a fat pig who doesn’t deserve anything.” John said as his eyes switched from normal to battle mode.
“Yami master. Why is John so angry all of a sudden?” Kuran asked in a scared voice.
“I’m guessing he lived in this area and his family had to pay high taxes.” Yami explained.
“Poor john he had to try so hard just to survive.” Kuran thought to herself.
“Hay!! Are you guys coming? We’ll stay at my place.” John said.
“Really. That means we get to meet your mom.” The girls said with enthusiasm.
It took them only minutes to get to the town, by that time john’s mood changed from mad to gloomy. When they got to the town john remembered why he was amazed by how large Kohona was. Kugaban was puny and the buildings looked as if they needed to be torn down. The streets however, were filled with people all walking in the same shameful slump. Most of the people were wearing a sign on them that said, “will work for food”.
“Yami master….” Kuran began
“This is how Kugaban has been all my life. What your sensing isn’t pity, but the suffering of these people.”
“He’s right. I can sense their misery.” Sakura thought as she walked by more people.
“What happened to this town?” Yami asked, “ According to roomer, this use to be a happy place.”
“We were a happy place once. This was considered heaven on earth. For the first year of my life Ganto was another every day ordinary man until he fond an oil shaft under his home. He began to sell the stuff and quickly began to make money. And then the worst thing ever happened.” John explained
“What happened?” Kuran asked.
“The Hong offered him the stop as his left hand man in exchange for him doing what ever he wanted him to do. Ganto eagerly agreed. Then Ganto became more and more rich. Before long he had bought every inch of land surrounding our village. He controls everything.”
No one spoke again until they had left the village. When they did the girls began conversing again. It took them only minutes to get to the gate of johns home.
It like all the other homes needed to be torn down and started over from scratch. The grass was completely dead.
“I never thought the grass could get this way.” Sakura said to herself.
“Stay behind me.” John demanded to them
“Why?” Kuran asked in an annoyed voice.
“I know Inu well enough to know she’ll try to attack use. Thinking we’re more bandits.”
“Inu??” Yami thought to himself. Suddenly he remembered a blonde haired girl, about 10, who had graduated N.T.A. the same year as him, “that’s impossible she suppose to be M.I.A.”
“Shouldn’t Yami take the lead if were going to be attacked? I mean he is stronger then us.” Sakura said interrupting Yami’s thoughts.
“No. She’ll recognize him as a stranger with a high possibility of being a bandit.” John said wile turning his head to give them all a warm smile.
“Holy cow. I think that’s the first time I’ve seen him smile like that.” Yami and the girls thought.
John cautiously approached his home. Trying to be aware of the slightest movement. He made it to the door with out problem and went to open the door. It slowly creaked open. John took three slow stepped in the house when suddenly. Bam!!! A broom came hurtling down on his head.
“Come on fight like a man!” Inu shouted to them unaware of the fact that she just hit john.
“Are you alright?” the girls quickly asked by his side.
It was then that Inu noticed the boy she had hit was her stepson. He sat on the floor clenching his head in pain. Inu also noticed that the people he was with were ninja.
“He wont be for long.” Inu answered for him and raised the broom again. The girls quickly drew knives and stood in front of john.
John grabbed there shoulders and said, “its alright.” And with that he stepped forward ready to be hit again. However to everyone’s surprise Inu didn’t move. She just stood there holding the broom up.
It was silent for the next couple seconds before john said, “I’m sorry, but I couldn’t live my life fearing that I might get jumped on the way to town or from work.”
As Yami and the girls looked from johns face to Inu’s they noticed that both mother and son were crying.
“You could have kept your word and tried to write to me.” Inu said
Everyone expected for john to say, “I tried.” But he merely went to her and hugged her. Foe he was well and alive. Well all except for his head and his chest.
“Augggg. What happened to you?” Inu shouted when she saw the bandages around his chest.
“If I told you the truth you’d probably try to kill me.” John said trying to avoid more pain.
“And if you don’t tell me I’ll kill you.” Inu said angrily.
“I’ll explain.” Yami said. And with that he told Inu everything. From when he first meet john to when john passed the entrance exam.
Once Yami was done Inu yelled so loudly that the people in the village could hear her. And they all knew John was back in town.
