House broken into

Today (or maybe it was yesterday since it is after midnight now) someone broke into my house through my bedroom window. As far as I can tell they only stole the jewelry. No one was home (least I think it happened while I was at work) or injured – and my dogs kept the intruders from accessing the rest of the house (the burglars locked the door between the bedroom and the rest of the house). Luckily they didn’t get into the main safe.

My biggest problem that I think will take a while to get over is the sense of vulnerability and invasion of privacy. I have issues with that I guess you could say.

Anyway the cops have come and gone and now I site waiting for the criminalist to show up (the CSI dudes). After that – I will probably be up all night and sleep in the morning. I have a ton of other things to do but – I just don’t want to deal with that now.

Im Sorry to hear that. Hope you’re feeling better soon. Install a Window with better locks and thicker glas and don’t drive yourself crazy that it can happen again. It can happen again, but it don’t have to. Greetings from Germany.

That really sucks….I know it’s not the same but I know sort of how you feel. I had my car broken into and my backpack taken with not only around $500 worth of stuff but paperwork with things like my bank account numbers and social security numbers.

Thankfully, nothing has come of it that I’ve seen but it still sucks. I’m sorry it happened and I hope they track down the moron that did it.

I’m so sorry to hear about your bad experience :( The sense of violation is horrible and I do hope you are able to feel safe again soon.

Jewellery is always personal but I hope you didn’t lose anything too precious
