Philippine Trip Cancelled

Well with the current political unrest in the Philippines I won’t be going to the Philippines with my dad. He will still be going for about 6 weeks – but then he looks and speaks as a native would (He should since that is where he grew up) … I on the other hand take more after my American mom in looks and never learned to speak tagalog – so I would stick out like a sore thumb. Basically being a target…

*sigh* – I was looking forward to the trip. Been about 13 years since I last went to the Philippines. Maybe another time – but somehow I doubt it.

At the time – there was some political unrest with a coup to be attempted. The president got wind of it an installed martial law for a bit.

My father went and had a great time – laughing since the unrest had quickly settled down. He did end up coming out to visit me, rather then my going out to visit him.
