me talking out loud

Well I now have my first java project (well homework anyway). It has 2 parts. 1 is to follow the directions and type what it says - easy “A”. the second one I have to modify an account calculator that is already given. You know - if the order is over $500 give them this discount, between 500 and 250 they get that discount and on. The cool part is though that the program to modify uses swing (I have been wanting to learn that) so it is pretty cool.

I hope that this class will help me think in OOP. It should since it is java but I’ve been programming procedurally for so long it is hard to make the shift.
